Kathryn Arnold, MCD, CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist and Children's Book Author

Kathryn Arnold, speech therapist, author, gestalt language processing expert, Echo and Grow

Welcome! I’m Kathryn, a speech therapist with nearly two decades of experience working with children in the schools, private practice, and beyond. For the past five years, I have been supporting the education of clinicians, teachers, and caregivers in gestalt language development.

As a mother of two boys, I know the value of slowing down, enjoying time together, and using books to support language development. Creating children’s books rooted in natural language development felt like a natural next step in my journey after years of developing educational materials, coaching, and speaking to thousands of professionals and parents worldwide.

Echo and Grow books are a neurodiversity affirming resource here to fill the gap in gestalt language processor resources. Each book supports language and literacy development in children while also helping adults better understand gestalt language processing.

How ’Bout Some Help

A Stage 1 Echo and Grow Book

Do you have a child who loves repeating favorite lines, phrases, or scripts from shows and books?

This story was made for them.

How ‘Bout Some Help was written with gestalt language development in mind, using playful, repeatable phrases so kids can engage, echo, and develop language naturally.

Follow along as Benny (a determined little bunny) and Milo (a patient giraffe with a big heart) have an everyday adventure. These two friends, who never let each other down, learn valuable lessons along the way — like it’s OK to ask for help — teaching children it’s OK for them, too!

Caregivers, educators, and clinicians will find helpful insights woven throughout, making reading time meaningful and rewarding. Using developmentally appropriate language, How ‘Bout Some Help will support a child’s natural language journey with phrases that can be easily broken down when they’re ready, building confidence through a book that bridges communication and connection.
